The Tempest is a fine addition to the Stratford independent cafe scene. It has a well crafted menu ( the avocado bagel is divine) and excellent cappuccino. Nice vibe with funky artwork and smooth jazz. The team are friendly welcoming and efficient. So nice to see caring customer service. Very dog friendly too.

Visited 09/09/2025 at 15:00 We’d not long arrived in Stratford and I was leading my family to another Coffee Chain, and decided instead to look on Google Maps for an independent place. I am SO glad we did. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the coffee is INCREDIBLE and the cakes looked (and, can confirm via my brother, tasted) absolutely amazing. On that note, my brother is coeliac and there were an abundance of gluten-free options. This is the place to go for great coffee. Thank you so much! I only wish I’d snapped a picture before we drank and ate everything! (Side note, great artwork on the walls which I’m guessing is from local artists).

Delicious espresso; very well extracted. Not exactly what I’d consider a medium roast, as the barista described, more of a dark roast, but certainly very good. Cute cafe on a little side alley. Tastefully decorated with local art, which you can also purchase. Friendly service.

I ended up at The Tempest after being captivated by the aesthetic. This small art cafe in Stratford upon Avon offers something unique and distinct to Bell Court. The art on the walls, and the jazz tunes made for the perfect ambience. Plus turns out it’s dog friendly! The staff were incredibly welcoming and recommended the hazelnut hot chocolate, which did not disappoint at all. It was absolutely delicious, and exactly what I needed! I tried their Caprese flatbread, which was catered to me as I am Gluten Free/ Granola bar. The flavours were delightful! There is so much choice in Stratford upon Avon, but The Tempest has definitely won me over. And I know that I won’t go anywhere else again!

The Tempest To start with the range of coffees and hot drinks is phenomenal (please see the menu uploaded and you will understand THE SCOPE) You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get a London Fog Latte in the West Midlands but here we are!!! Next time, we'll strive to be a bit more adventurous, the Bueno latte calls Wonderful presentation, let's be honest, all of us deep down have a soft spot for a wooden tray It just calls back to nature Also, there's a fantastic selection of paintings for sale on the wall, so if you like the decor that much you can whisk it back home Tragically did not try the food but did observe a toastie making it's way to another table and it looked great
